Discovery and matching

Matched on what you sell, against what they actually need.

Most networks score you on job title and mutual contacts, which is why the introductions feel random. GrowthSync scores the one thing that decides whether a conversation is worth having: does what you offer answer what they are looking for.

Free members send 5 sync requests a day. Nobody can message you until you have both said yes.

Ideal match

Why this scored high

They are looking for exactly what you offer, and you are looking for what they offer

Complementary industries rather than the same one

Both at the stage where this decision gets made

PassSend sync request

Neither of you can message until you have both said yes

Example, not a real member

  1. Every pairing gets a score out of 100, with the reasons written out

Shown on the card, on the dashboard and on the profile, with labels like Ideal Match at 85 and above. The same two people always get the same number.

  2. You find out a match is weak before the call, not during it

The scoring is deliberately strict, and it is built to tell you when you are not a good fit. A vague overlap scores almost nothing.

  3. The hour you save is the point

Founders do not run out of contacts. They run out of hours. This decides which conversations are worth one.

How the score is built

Commercial fit, checked in both directions.

The heaviest factor by a distance is what one member offers matched against what the other says they are looking for, and it is checked both ways round. Everything else adjusts from there.

  • What you offer against what they are looking for, in both directions
  • A bonus for complementary industries rather than identical ones, because the same industry is as often a competitor as a collaborator
  • Business stage, so a first year founder is not matched to a company selling enterprise contracts
  • Location and distance, when meeting in person matters to you
  • Written reasons under the number, so you can see why before you decide

What it is for

The first meeting is the only thing that matters.

Every score, filter and swipe on GrowthSync exists to get two people who can genuinely do business into the same conversation. Everything after that is up to you.

Nobody arrives uninvited

There is no inbox to protect, because nothing lands in it uninvited.

A conversation only opens when both people have said yes. That single rule is why members reply here and ignore the same message anywhere else.

  • No messages from anyone you have not accepted
  • See who has already asked to connect with you, so you start with people who have their hand up
  • See who viewed your profile, which is interest you would otherwise never hear about
  • Block and report from anywhere in the product

Messages you did not agree to receive.

No paid tier can skip it, and no amount of persistence gets round it. It is the reason a message here gets read.

Questions people ask

How many people can I reach out to?

Free members send 5 sync requests a day, Premium 25, and Elite has no daily limit. Messaging is unlimited on every plan once you have both accepted.

Does a high score mean we will do business?

No, and it is not meant to. It means the commercial fit is there before you spend an hour finding out. The scoring is strict on purpose, so a low score is genuinely useful information.

Can anyone message me?

No. A conversation only opens after you have both accepted. Until then nobody can send you anything.

Is the matching done by AI?

No. GrowthSync has no AI features. The score is a set of rules applied to what both members have told us about their business, which is why the same two people always get the same number.
